Keith Olbermann is mad as hell at the Daily News for its Wednesday front page featuring the gaunt face of the late Robin Williams, which included the headline “HANGED” and subheads detailing the police report.
The current sports Gasbag, and former political gadfly, said as much during a Wednesday rant on his late night ESPN2 show. Boiling his melodramatic soliloquy down to a few words, the front page was too graphic for him. It offended his sensibilities.

I dislike Olbermann intensely, but in this one case, I think he has a point. What cover sounds tasteless and inconsiderate as heck. I wish people would think about Mr. Williams family and give them some space. Think about how you would feel if this was your husband or dad.

I understand that feeling but I think the “heartless bastards” comment is a point of criticism. “Heartless” could have made the point. Also, this is a sports channel no longer MSNBC or whatever political networks employed him though perhaps he has the permission to expand beyond sports topics. I don’t watch ESPN2, not because of Olbermann but because it is one of the ESPNs.
He’s only 55.

Keep on mind, this is the se guy who had no problems mentioning and mocking the lurid details of O’Reilly’s sexual harassment lawsuit.

Olberman revealed himself as a hypocrit a long time ago...as well as being a pompous horses @$$ that isn’t half as smart as he thinks he is. Why ESPN picked up off the career bone pile is beyond me.
Keith Olbmermann may be a hypocrite, but that front page sounds disgusting.
Some of the coverage of this man’s death was rather gruesome and I don’t really see what it adds to our lives.

Half as smart as he thinks he is? NOBODY is half as smart as Olberdoofus THINKS he is! Olberdoofus isn’t half as smart as the hindquarters of a horse but he THINKS he is the greatest flippin’ genius to ever spout nonsense on TV. He thinks he looks down on DaVinci or Einstein from a lofty perch. There are people dumber than Olberdoofus though. Whoever paid him to appear on TV is dumber than I ever thought possible. Anyone who has ever watched him and thought he was smart is two bricks short of a one brick load.
