It's not every day people are thankful for being pulled over for running a red light, but for one woman choking on a sausage and biscuit, the stop likely saved her life. Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer Jason Gates, meanwhile, says he was just doing his job. After he pulled her over and approached the car, he wondered for a second or two if the woman was just trying to get out of a ticket, but he quickly knew she was really choking and told her to get out of the car. Just two firm pumps of the Heimlich maneuver dislodged the food, and the woman instantly crumpled into his arms and sobbed. Check out the dash cam video here.

Nice going and glad to see a positive article for a change.
Obviously, this woman thought she would be shot and killed by the cop, and choked on the food when she started to panic. Hopefully she got the red light ticket, as well as a ticket for littering (sausage bisquit).
Yes, it is a nice change. Too many good things go without notice.
this is a good, positive story... just hope there is no call for outlawing fast food drive-thrus... and eating on the go...
Only thing that would have made a better story is if it were Moochelle choking on the sausage biscuit.
Ping for later
