It’s not uncommon for shopping malls to have rules of conduct. Some places ban saggy pants. Others won’t let you ask people for money. But a mall in Georgia may have one of the most unusual rules -- they won’t let shoppers pray – not even over their meals.

Meet Tammy Brantley of Dublin, Ga. She’s a wife, a mom and an avid power walker. She’s also a person of deep faith in God.

Tammy is the co-founder of “Dublin Girls Run,” a group of local ladies that combines Southern fellowship with physical fitness.

The very heart of the bible belt and NO PRAYING at all. I suggest those who live near the mall go there for lunch and bow over their food. If arrest comes, go for it. There is not a jury in that county that would convict.

I suggest that all freepers start praying over their meals in public. I started doing it about four months ago. I was on a diet and was truly grateful for my food. Since I’m Catholic it involves the sign of the cross. If there are people at the table with me they usually stop talking and wait for me to finish. I’ve never had any negative comments. The only other person I know who I suspect of doing this is a Jewish friend.

I think they’re worried about prayer rugs and facing Mecca.

The crime wouldn’t be praying, it’s trespassing. A mall is a private business and can ask you to leave for any reason.

Don't be so sure, GA and most "conservative" states are full of liberals too.

I actually recently saw two gentlemen praying over their meal at the only Cracker Barrel in ME, in liberal Portland.

This mall management wouldn’t DARE try to interfere with muzzie arselifters & their dirty prayer rugs. Never!

Christians are a much easier target.

Okay, so you can avoid trespassing by not going there. Every pastor of every church in the area should urge his flock not to patronize that mall.

In times like these, Christians should stop turning the other cheek and start acting like Old Testament warriors.

Start with just not spending at the mall.

“But a mall in Georgia may have one of the most unusual rules — they won’t let shoppers pray – not even over their meals.”

1. Don’t give them your business.

2. Tell the Mall’s owners that you’re going to spread the word and ask everyone else who believes in God and prayer not to shop there.

We had a Legislative District Republican picnic at a public park and we had prayer to bless the food as well as the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

This nation is still “under God,” and if one can compel a bakery to bake a gay wedding cake, you can compel a mall to accommodate a prayer to bless the food at the food court.

I think you are correct, but they can't discriminate between religions so it must be a blanket rule.

No Christians Allowed stickers on the front doors?

I’m stunned at this for another reason.

People go in the food court, get their food, and sit down.

Then, they are sitting there, praying.

They are not disturbing anyone else, not creating a public scene. Not trying to recruit people into their religion. The prayer is over very quickly.

If people mind their own business, this would not even be discussed at all. You have to be a real busybody in order to notice that others are praying, then you have to be very very liberal to find that objectionable.

"In times like these, Christians should stop turning the other cheek and start acting like Old Testament warriors." In Christ's time, you had to turn the other cheek because you lived under the totalitarian rule of the emperor. There was no democracy and no will of the people. If Christ lived in our times, Christians would indeed be Old Testament warriors.

Even Jesus had had enough when He drove out the money changers.

Anyway, Google Earth the mall, the mall manager & phone #, and announce a boycott.

Or, show up en masse at the food court as Christian believers & pray over meals at the same time. If there are arrests, then announce the boycott.
