A recent analysis by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence found that during the past ten years, while the Assault Weapons Ban was in place, the number of banned assault weapons used in crimes declined by more than 65%. Let us assume these numbers are accurate.
Would be interesting to see the raw numbers, not just the percentages.
A 67% decline from a very low number doesn't mean much.

Agree.
Since almost no crimes are committed with “assault weapons”, the numbers will be statistically insignificant.
But, regardless, it makes for good propaganda.
