I think this is a good article by Dr. Krauthammer exposing John Kerry's fecklessness in trying to negotiate peace between the Israelis and Hamas. However, I don't think Krauthammer is tough enough on Kerry and the rest of the Obama Administration. The pro-terrorist despots in the Obama Administration want to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth. This fits well with the narrative that Obama has furthered since before he was president. He wants to see Islam flourish and Islam's biggest threats, principally the United States and Israel, emasculated, if not completely annihilated. Dr. K along with everybody else in Washington is suffering from normalcy bias. They cannot get their heads around what is truly happening, and what kind of people are running the country.

Peace is a good thing, but that is not a choice available to Israel at this time. The available alternatives are (1) Hamas terrorists murder Jewish women and children in Israel and without opposition, or (2) Hamas terrorists fight Israeli soldiers in Gaza and die at a ratio of 20:1. Of the two options permitted by the terrorists, I prefer option (2).
