The LOTR trilogy was excellent, and the Hobbit films so far, while not quite as good, are extremely well-done and entertaining to say the least. In fact, IMHO Peter Jackson improved upon Tolkien's work.

Ummm...no. Not even close. The Hobbits films are stupid beyond pain. The only good thing about the second one was that I fell asleep and missed about half of it. I won’t waste time watching the third unless I have copious beer and a desire to scream at someone...

The Hobbit is a book that is all about character development, and Jackson couldn’t be more clueless if someone shot him in the head 50 times with a 12-gauge.

I agree! I dunno what everyone's b****in about. Don't like cgi? Stay away and stop whining! I'd love to see a Silmarillion movie!

For those trouncing LOTR and Hobbit, hey, actors exist, hollywood exists. Go make a better one and lets see how it stacks up!!!
