Look up anarcho-tyranny. That’s the way Obama likes it>>>>>>>
Anarcho-tyranny
Francis argued that the problems of the managerial state extend to issues of crime and justice. In 1992, he introduced the word “anarcho-tyranny” into the paleocon vocabulary.[38] He once defined it this way: “we refuse to control real criminals (that’s the anarchy) so we control the innocent (that’s the tyranny).”[39]
In one of his last essays, he explained the concept:
What we have in this country today, then, is both anarchy (the failure of the state to enforce the laws) and, at the same time, tyranny the enforcement of laws by the state for oppressive purposes; the criminalization of the law-abiding and innocent through exorbitant taxation, bureaucratic regulation, the invasion of privacy, and the engineering of social institutions, such as the family and local schools; the imposition of thought control through “sensitivity training” and multiculturalist curricula, “hate crime” laws, gun-control laws that punish or disarm otherwise law-abiding citizens but have no impact on violent criminals who get guns illegally, and a vast labyrinth of other measures. In a word, anarcho-tyranny.[38]

Back to the days of Fort Apache the Bronx.
They wanted DeBlasio, the Marxist.
I hope they get it good.
Looks like the change they wanted is bearing fruit.
Getting what they voted for, and it’ll get a whole lot worse. I worked in that Midtown mess for a long time. Glad I moved away from the craphole 25yrs ago.
They’ll certainly pay for the DiBlasio vote, but this actually started under Bloomberg, who closed some streets in the center of Times Square to deal with the crowds and make it more of a walking-mall type destination for the tourists. The aggressive cartoon characters overran the place before DiBlasio was sworn in.
It is now a horrendous experience to walk or drive through.
Sounds like the tourist market is doing fantastic then.
I agree. The current state of Times Square with its ever increasing violence is a good thing. Perhaps SOME of the left will wake up. Perhaps enough to swing elections back to producing livable results.
I remember when Times Square was full of porn shops, and drug dealers were standing in long lines along the walls hawking their wares...

NEW PUSH TO CRACK DOWN ON TIMES SQUARE COSTUMED CHARACTERS

Overrated, expensive, cluttered, glitzy on crud stained concrete-—a morass of foreigners gawking after vapid midtown vanities of little lasting value.
They can have it...pony up the cash suckers as NYC drills deep into the multi-diverse wallets as a univeral equality of extortions.
I used to walk to get places in NYC, but with all the smokers flushed out on to the sidewalks from the non-smoking buildings, my clothes would have holes burnt in them, my lungs would ache, and I would smell like an ashtray by the time I got to my clients.
Times Square was impenetrable.
I tried the subways, but they were slow, and only got me part way. I tried taxis, but there was no place to put my feet.
I gave up and let that market go. I don’t go in to NYC, or D.C. They are crap holes.
Leftists do not wake up. They get mugged and lose their la la land myopia.
Hah seems like a perfect scene for an alien movie where they walk thru this area and go unnoticed. Did I miss this movie already?
What’s old is new again.
If Bloomberg weren’t a crazy in so many ways, like restricting the size of soda containers, would the next-election result have been as extreme as DeBlasio is?
Guliani fixed NY ... the Des have destroyed it.
