Thank you. Romantic comedies are essentially chick flicks and to be avoided by real men like the plague. Watched only under threat of severe repercussions from female spouse or girlfriend.

I think there’s some kind of unwritten rule in which men take women to chick flicks during the courting period. Once married, women now have to endure whatever film the man wants to see. Or go see their chick flicks on “girls night out” occasions.
The modern ‘Romantic Comedy’ was essentially invented by Woody Allen with ‘Annie Hall’ and ‘Manhattan’. It’s been downhill since.
