Letter received from the detestable Sen. Chuck Schumer (vanity)
Email received from the detestable Senator Schumer | July 11 2014 | Personal Responsibility / chuck Schumer

Posted on 07/11/2014 5:50:38 PM PDT by Personal Responsibility

I live in New York which makes the detestable Chuck Schumer one of my Senators, He sent me the email below - unsolicited - regarding his efforts on my behalf on Net Neutrality. Beneath that is my response to him.

TOPICS: Computers/Internet
KEYWORDS: netneutrality; schumer
Dear Mr. Responsibility Knowing of your support for an open and accessible internet, I wanted to let you know that I have signed onto Senator Ed Markey’s letter to the FCC regarding proposed rulemaking on net neutrality. As our letter indicates, I firmly believe that Title II reclassification is the best way to for us to preserve the internet as an open and unfettered tool for communication, education and the sharing of ideas. My colleagues and I have urged Chairman Wheeler and the Commission to consider the significant public input that they have already received, as well as how important it is that the Commission promulgates final rules consistent with the principles of an open internet by using Title II reclassification.

I believe that access to the internet should be affordable and readily available to all Americans, and I am glad that the FCC is leaving all options on the table while developing a way to ensure that the Internet remains free and open to everyone. I have urged the FCC to listen to the voices of the thousands of New Yorkers who have commented on the proposed rule, and urge them to use their authority under Title II of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 to preserve the internet as a place for free and open communication. The already overwhelming response to the proposed FCC rule underscores just how important this question is to Americans in their everyday lives, and I will continue to fight to ensure that their voices are heard, and to protect net neutrality for all.

-----------------------

My response: Dear Senator Schumer,

I'm not well versed in this area but I feel confident that if you favor net neutrality that I should be against it. I do not wish anyone ill will but if I heard that you'd given yourself a paper cut that really stings, I wouldn't shed a tear.

I hope your efforts fail and look forward to voting against you whenever possible.

Best regards, Your constituent

I live in New York

The second I read that, the first thing that popped into my head was "My condolences". I grew up in that cesspool and finally got smart and moved out 2 years ago at age 50 to Pennsylvania. Best thing I even did in my life. My brother still lives there, still puts himself through that abuse. Busting his ass all week to see his money stolen by sc*mbags like Schumer to support welfare breeding cows and illegals. I keep telling him "NYC is North Korea with food" but he doesn't believe me. It's only when you escape do you realize it. Every single aspect of your life is dictated and controlled, you're nothing but a slave to the state so d-bags like Schumer can get re-elected. It is the ultimate epitome of liberalism run amok.

Long Island is alright, although the epic lib infection level of NYC is slowly taking over. I have a few friends there that are basically slaves to property taxes, something like $12k a year in property taxes, and that’s all the way out in the boondocks of Riverhead. Let the libs steal your money or they steal your house.

I sold a house a few years ago where 1/2 acre of property was $15,000 a year in tax.
