India is still reeling over what happened with China 50 years ago. And that was due to really poor planning/supply and political naivete.

I seriously dont think they are ready for a real armed conflict

Very cool as I have been looking for something like this. Alarming the mass nuclear ability that Russia still holds.

Same could be said I suppose by the 13,000 planes we have on paper.

I don’t know about that. One of the reasons our spending is so high is that we are pledged to support and assist allied nations. Most of Europe is free to offload its own defense onto the backs of US taxpayers and spend it instead on social programs that entice American leftists. If we weren’t promising to defend Europe and much of the rest of the world, along with defending shipping lanes worldwide, the rest of the world would have to find cuts in safety-net spending and deploy it to a more robust military.

I wonder why the graphic omitted navy surface ships from its compilation. The US would certainly be at the top of that column too.

“WW2 proved that. Beyond carriers, nothing mattered. “

WWII proved nothing that wasn’t already known: Technology advances. Anyone looking to a previous war, especially one 60+ yeas ago, to decide what weapons of war to have is in for a rude surprise. Hypersonic missiles, nuclear warheads, etc, all change the carrier profile. Carriers are good for projecting 75 aircraft at third world nations, nothing more. In a first world fight, carriers are gone in the first few minutes.

There ya go. That’s exactly why we spend so much and they can lazily play around with socialism. They are using our money to do it.

Our advantages in aircraft, carriers and budget are staggering.

Probably counting those at that bone-yard out in Arizona where they have all those old planes mothballed.
