The statue of the beast is the great golden statue the beast erects to wickedness.

The Book of Revelation shows us that the appearance of the Beast will revolve around an unholy statue. The Man of Evil, it says, will erect a statue to honor the beast with the mortal wound which healed. That beast is heathen government. He will be able to breathe life into the statue and make it speak. (Rev.13:14-16).

"Through the miracles which it (the second beast) was allowed to do on behalf of the first beast, it was able to win over the people of the world and persuade them to put up a statue in honour of the beast that had been wounded by the sword and still lived. It was allowed to breathe life into this statue, so that the statue of the beast was able to speak, and to have anyone who refused to worship the statue of the beast put to death. (Rev.13:14-15).
