Here’s a tip for going to a mosque. Ever see footage where the attendees wear their shoes around their neck? Normally one is supposed to leave their shoes outside of the mosque and pick them up when they leave. A Saudi we met told us that he lost 3 pairs of expensive Italian loafers doing that. From now on he only wears shoes he can drape over his neck.

Sounds like a good plan...but be prepared to have someone "smite" you on the neck (I think that's how their "koran" puts it).
