seeing the TV preview ads, all I could think is that Hollyweird asked themselves -”How bad of a movie can I make?”
My sense is they’ve done a good job in that regard. Sadly, they will try again.
"Begin Again" has the not unfamiliar general them of people finding their way through music. It's surprisingly well done. There is no meanness as people work through their situations and flaws. It cuts across various ages and music styles, thus conveying the universality of music. The scenery and music are enjoyable.
No car chases, murder, monsters from outer space, bizarre special effects....just real good movie making.
You think this is bad, in 30 years they’ll be doing a remake.
