Fifteen years later, Keith Jarrett sued Steely Dan’s Fagan and Becker for sampling (what a euphemism) “Gaucho”. Horace Silver, however, let it pass. Fagan and Becker got too full of themselves in abusing jazz’s unwritten sampling rule.
