Talk about enabling mommies. She must feel very guilty about something.

I’m a mom so I understand how it can happen. Children need structure, and there is no doubt that fathers are necessary. Even an abusive father is better than no father.

That type of enabling by a parent is more destructive than physical abuse as far as I’m concerned.

Depends on the severity of the abuse, which of course exists on a spectrum from minimal to life-threatening.
