The press is saying that the economy is positively 3rd world because of the horrible winter.
BUT!!! I have heard AT LEAST 3 radio news stories in the last month (CBS AND ABC)saying, IN AN EFFORT TO PROTECT THE GLOBAL WARMING CULT, that THERE WAS NO COLD WINTER!!!! We in the East might have felt extra cold, but out West it was quite warm, and when you do the math, it turned out to be an absolutely, perfectly normal winter.
Interesting, yes?
It is a sad commentary on the American public. The public can accept both stories without questioning why they conflict.
Somewhere Orwell observes and nods knowingly...
In the Obama Era, nothing is ever his fault.
The failure of Obama’s policies will never be mentioned.
There’s always some outside force or some unplanned event which is to blame. The blame, by definition, can never be due to Obama’s policies.
I got my MBA in1983 and took four graduate courses in economics to get it. I cannot recall weather being a significant factor ever used to explain anything more than very transient economic events. Occasionally a warm autumn or a cool spring will affect retail clothing sales but nothing more than that. Of course, I am willing to learn if the economic sages of this administration want to teach me. I well remember the old Soviet Union suffering twenty bad harvests in a row. Just bad luck I guess.
In the Obama Era, there is always an excuse as to why things don’t go as planned. But there is never any fault in Obama’s policies, or his approach to dealing with issues. It’s always evil Republicans, or outside forces such as weather which interrupt our march to Obama’s liberal utopia.
Did you hear this on the telly, or read them on the internet? This is quite the dichotomy.
Radio reports.
Okay, thanks.
Also, do a search on Deborah Byrd, EarthSkyNews. It’s some astronomy, Earth science site, and she had one of the stories posted. Not sure how good her search engine is.
Killing the Economy and Jobs with New Energy Regulations

But for all intents and purposes, Obama is thumbing his nose at the economic downturn by happily supporting a lot of very costly regulations on businesses and the fossil fuel industry, while flatly opposing needed energy development that would create more jobs.
The president is still blocking the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline with Candada that would create thousands of new jobs. And, now, even with fresh, new evidence from his own administration, that the economy stopped growing, has decided to plow ahead with punitive rules on the coal industry.
He says he’s doing this to combat climate change and in behalf of a cleaner environment. But the truth is that the the proposed EPA policies won’t do either. Moreover, they are “unnecessary and harmful,” according to an economic analysis by University of Maryland business economist Peter Morici.
Electric utilities and energy intensive manufacturers in metals, chemicals and other industries have been shifting away from coal to “more abundant and cheaper natural gas,” Morici says. The auto and truck industry has been switching to more fuel efficient vehicles.
“Together, those free market decisions have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 9 percent from 2005 levels,” he writes.
The Obama White House thinks only in terms of forcing higher costs on businesses and micromanaging the U.S. economy. But in the end, that will do far more harm than good.
“Those initiatives would not do much to arrest global warming, but by increasing taxes and production costs, [they] would send more jobs to China,” he says.
China emits nearly twice the carbon dioxide emissions “as either the United States or Europe. Every 18 months, [China’s] emissions grow enough to replace the emissions savings the U.S. will accomplish” under Obama’s 15-year plan.
Unable to improve the economy with his impotent, anti-growth policies, Obama wants to change the subject to global warming — but with proposals that will only make the economy worse.
In the end, he has given Republicans a political gift that could defeat enough Democrats to put the GOP in charge of the Senate. And he’ll have no one to blame but himself.
