Other than hockey, I don't think Detroit offers any suitable winter games venues.
There is one ski slope there which is located on a former landfill and affectionately known by locals as Mount Trashmore.

There is one ski slope there which is located on a former landfill and affectionately known by locals as Mount Trashmore. There is one of those a few exits down the Garden State Parkway from our location, same name. No snowmaking or facilities.
