That was probably the most gut wrenching driving scene ever filmed.

Wasn’t the driver of the charger also a famous stuntman/driver? It seems like I read that somewhere.

Just doesn’t seem the same without Steve McQueen and Bill Hickman, not to mention the 6 or 7 flying hubcaps off McQueen’s car... ;-)

I'm impressed by the Telecopier scene. It foreshadowed the information age, and it's quite interesting the way it's played for drama. I had forgotten all about it before re-viewing the movie in recent years.

Note it features Robert Vaughn, Simon Oakland, and Norman Fell, along with Steve McQueen.

... I feel a song coming on.

Five Hubcaps came of the Charger according to my Brother who noticed it the first time he saw the Movie at the Theater.

No Youtube rewinds, he called it the first time and I told him he ruined the Chase Scene for me.

I keep meaning to look for myself, but I’m still pissed off at him. The premature explosion at the end is another topic for another day.

For all that work their Script Continuity person really screwed up, but it was and still is AWESOME.

Had forgotten all about that dude. Remember him from Kolchak, The Night Stalker.

He was all over the little screen - Perry Mason(2), Twilight Zone(2), Outerlimits, Naked City, Combat!, Untouchables(3)... Men Into Space, for crying out loud! ... and on and on.

And, the Black Sheep Squadron.

Remember him there too! Good character actor. Kinda of a Edward G. Robinson/Peter Lorre mix.
