They were only concerned with making sure the married man didn't have to face any consequences and they accomplished that by destroying her.

I don't feel pity for her for what she did.
However, she had the most powerful people in the world after her who labeled her "stalker" among other such things to deflect the blame from Clinton and no help from NOW or other women's groups.
That was atrocious.
