The United States, one way or the other, is now about 25% Latino.
The United States is also about 15% African-American.
Throw in Asians, etc. etc. The European-descended population is a distinct minority in many places.
The way the Socialists plan on running things is:
(a)Continuing welfare for African-Americans, with the aim of keeping the low-end OUT of the workforce.
(b) Reserve low-end work for Latinos of one sort or another, also with government support ... just temporarily not quite as lavish as that provided to African-Americans.
(c)The European-based population can take care of themselves to some degree, and will pay taxes in support of (a) and (b).
Eventually, the United Staes will become the northernmost Latin-American country. That's not pessimism, that's arithmetic. Mexican emigration is slowing because quite simply, they are running low on Mexicans to export. Not to worry, there's a heavily populated, poverty-stricken string of Latino countries to Mexico's south that even now more than makes up the difference.
Newsflash!: We ain't gonna look like Chile. Bolivia or Peru is more like it.
