When I was in the 3rd grade I sat in a darkened theater. A stirring music, and then a small ship rushed into the screen pursued by a much bigger ship, with green and red lasers flashing between them.
I WAS HOOKED FOR LIFE.

I was so disappointed on the opening night of Star Wars. I had been reading science fiction about from when I was 9 or 10 in the 50s. A corny, childish, joke of a movie.
