You are correct. Moot. A word with a meaning directly opposite to how it is frequently used. According to the Oxford English Dictionary:

moot

Syllabification: moot
Pronunciation: mo͞ot

ADJECTIVE

1 Subject to debate, dispute, or uncertainty, and typically not admitting of a final decision:

whether the temperature rise was mainly due to the greenhouse effect was a moot point

Are you sure you mean moot?

The meaning of the word moot is moot
