As my dog would say as she would lay in the grass out front waiting for the ice cream truck, "Today's treat is tonight's excuse to have the couch all to myself".

If nobody was at home to buy her ice cream, she would run alongside the truck until a neighbor would buy it for her. She would hold the little cup between her paws.

The same dog would lay under the plum tree in August and eat the plums which fell to the ground. The result of twenty or so plums every afternoon was rough on us all.
