I’ve been following this one. I guess you could claim it’s a re-hash, in the same way that Civ’s 2 through V are re-hashes of the original Civ. Then again, technically all war games are re-hashes of Chess, too.
It’s all in the details, and those details look intriguing so far. Sid Meier and his team have been keeping me happy since the mid-80s (and F-15E Strike Eagle for the Commodore 64. . .), that I’ll trust them to deliver an excellent game. . .

And chess itself is probably just a re-hash of “hit with stick and see who falls down first”. I’m just wondering why they would expect it to sell better this time than it did the last.

I've been playing it for 20+ years, too. It's a great game, and I like the turn-based play.
