Should The UN Be Moved To A Neutral Location? Out Of The U.S., But With One Caveat...

The U.S. has already signaled that Iran's UN envoy pick is a no-go - and for VERY good reason. At the same time we are being entangled in these disputes; we do so and are to some degree continuing this because the UN is on U.S. grounds.
The statement "get the U.S. out of the UN and the UN out of the U.S." has been oft-repeated...so here is a possible solution - with one caveat.
The UN is moved to neutral territory (if at all possible), so we don't have to shell out a significant chunk for its operating expenses.
As for the caveat: no nation has any say-so on any person that any country picks for its envoy to the UN.

We get to pick whomever we want, but so does everyone else. The UN is out of the U.S. to boot. Can't beat that... Nutral location: not likely, but perhaps possible.

It’d make sense to put the UN on an island that would then be ceded to the UN.
Hans Island would be ideal as this act would also resolve a long running dispute between Denmark and Canada.

We have heard: “Get the U.S. out of the UN and the UN out of the U.S.” I agree with this sentiment.
The getting the U.S. part out is the easier of the two. But where can we find a neutral location? I seriously doubt its possible, but maybe not.

I recommend a location in central Africa and removal of all UN offices and personnel from the United States.

They should just have a web site for the UN with 2 staffers and do everything by video conference. No additional infrastructure necessary and it would still be a waste of money.
