On one hand I want to smack these little spoiled kids and revert back to my upbringing...”You better sit and eat that food, I don’t care if you like it or not, its good food that someone paid for and you gonna appreciate it. This ain’t no damn motel you little ingrate.”

On the other hand it proves my theory that every time something is just fine, a liberal will come in to “make it better” (read: make it THEIR way) and spend millions of dollars to make something worse than it was, when it was perfectly fine to start with.

A little bit of both, I guess. Chewy shouldn’t have used it for her hobby project and totally screwed it up... while, even though different, the little brats still should be thankful they have good food.

those lunches look awful and you are scarred from your parents’ weirdness about food if you can’t tell that

there is nothing good about being forced to eat stuff that is unappetizing

my dad forced my sister to eat her Chow Mein, yech, and so she did, poor thing and then threw up all over the table

Served my dad right

That being said, my mom grew up poor in the Depression and my dad spent 3 years of his childhood in a concentration camp

Our parents were scarred by the times they lived in

No reason to act like we have to eat Spam and drink Tang today, we don’t

I want my kids to have food they view as appealing

Hungry kids aren’t learning.

look at those photos

that is NOT “good food” and the “little brats” who come from neglectful homes where the parents do not prepare them lunch are not at fault here-

they are stuck with this carelessly prepared govt mandated tastelessly presented slop as 1 of their 3 daily meals (perhaps 2 if they also get breakfast in school)

I pack my DD’s lunch but she tells me about the gray “pizza” and lumpy milk and other yuk foods that are served DAILY in the cafeteria line. Some of her classmates have no choice. I pack extra food like buttered bagels and fruit so she can share with some who are her friends.

How about a law that these same “healthy” menus and recipes MUST be served at the White House AND at the Congressional cafeteria

***On one hand I want to smack these little spoiled kids and revert back to my upbringing***

Back in my school days (1952-1964) all the school lunches were great except one.

The best was Denver CO. The worst was Aztec NM, and I mean really, really bad, so bad I started taking my lunch. It seemed every lunch consisted of a poor quality mac and “cheese”(?) and kids were constantly throwing that slop back up on their trays. And to think, 35 miles west of there at Kirtland Schools their lunches were great!

Everywhere else the lunches were also good. We only went home for lunch when we lived within a few hundred yards of the school.

I remember when our school served Pizza the first time. Most of the kids had no idea what it was and tossed it. It was really good for us that ate our pizza.
