This Anglican priest wants to have it both ways. He wants to keep his position yet defy the Church of England's doctrine clearly spelled out by the Bishops on this issue. At least in the past Dissenters and Non-Conformists had the self respect to leave the CoE and start their own groups.

Get on your knees! It writes itself.

First this is not about getting married. This man had already spit in God’s face as did the Church by being a non repentant homosexual. That is the sin here. Getting married is just icing on the cake..
God can and will forgive anyone their sin. Murderers thieves, adulterer’s, perverts etc. Nowhere in his Word does He say He will accept it.

He should have been excommunicated already. They better do it quickly or the church will be complicit.

Marriage is a sacrament ordained by God. People can attempt to re-define it, but they can't overrule God. Or in other words, calling a pig a rose doesn't make it smell nice.

It isn’t “marriage.”
Marriage means Holy Matrimony.
Two men or two women cannot complete a holy matrimony.
You can call it something else, and lots of people do, but it isn’t a marriage.
