This would be a huge loss for the GOP and certainly for conservatives ... I'm going to provide as much financial and GOTV support to him as I possibly can.
Placer County -- like nearly all areas of California away from the "coastal strip" -- is strongly conservative but the base is being steadily eroded by the growing populations of Sacramento, Davis and other isolated "liberal enclaves" that hold the bulk of the population.
