Jennifer Lawrence lip-syncs, crazily dances to Santana in deleted 'American Hustle' scene

Jennifer Lawrence got an Oscar nod for her acting chops in "American Hustle," but it's her crazy dancing and lip-syncing skills in a deleted scene that really deserve the academy's highest honor.

A captivating 4-minute outtake from the movie shows Lawrence, 23, as the cynical Roselyn Rosenfeld, vacuuming her living room while dancing and mouthing the words to Santana's 1969 song "Evil Ways."

The three-time Oscar nominee whips her hair back and forth, rolls the vacuum cleaner around, flails her arms, and even gets down on all fours while singing about how her "house is dark and her pots are cold."

Lawrence lost the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her "Hustle" role to "12 Years A Slave" star Lupita Nyong'o.

“American Hustle” is now available on DVD.

I think this qualifies as better-than-bacon thread. Well, almost.

She even gets down on all fours at one point during the crazy dance.

I think that was really dumb. Dancing up a storm? Nope. No wonder it was canned.

Yesm it is silly, but it’s still fun to watch. Jennifer likes to play in front of the camera. One of the best parts is the contrast of her lettin’ it all hang out, and her little son who sits quietly and watches as Mommy goes nutty, once again. Nothing he doesn’t always see. In the movie, the father (Christian Bale) visits his wife and child. They are separated. The boy immediately blurts out to his father that Mom set the Microwave on fire AGAIN, because she put a foil TV dinner in their, and the kitchen caught on fire. The Mother (Jennifer) says “I can’t cook with that ‘Science Oven!, I’ts dangerous to your family!”.

She’s a great actress.

I saw Silver Linings Playbook without knowing who she was. I was astounded by her performance. I left the theater saying she would win an Oscar for her performance.

She is without a doubt the most gifted Actress of her generation.

I figure since the scene was dumped that the powers that get to decide agree with me. Hell, when I was a young girl I did better than that!

Hmmm 5 or so replies and no one has even mentioned her great performance in ‘Winter’s Bone’...until now!

I saw Winter’s Bone. Great movie. But going by the title, I thought it was about something else entirely.

She’s a looker, I’ll give her that. I’ve only seen her in a couple of movies (both Hunger Games).

Everything I’ve seen in previews of “American Hustler” doesn’t excite me. I’ll rent it on DVD.

I first saw her in the “Hunger Games” movie, and thought her acting was bad, just not very moving or convincing. Then I saw “Winter’s Bone” and “Silver Linings” and realized she is really a pretty talented actress. I think the problem must have been with the director on the HG.

Yeah, “Winter’s Bone” and “Pacific Rim” are both titles that probably caused a lot of disappointment for people who saw them with no prior clue as to what they were about.
