Anwar Ibrahim is not an alQaeda type. In fact, some of his accomplishments look very intelligent indeed:

From wikipedia: “..During the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis Anwar, as finance minister, supported the International Monetary Fund (IMF) plan for recovery. He also instituted an austerity package that cut government spending by 18%, cut ministerial salaries and deferred major projects. “Mega projects”, despite being a cornerstone of Mahathir’s development strategy, were greatly curtailed.

“Although many Malaysian companies faced bankruptcy, Anwar declared: “There is no question of any bailout. The banks will be allowed to protect themselves and the government will not interfere.” Anwar advocated a free-market approach to the crisis, including foreign investment and trade liberalization. Mahathir blamed currency speculators like George Soros and supported currency controls and tighter regulation of foreign investment.[7]

In 1998 Newsweek magazine named Anwar the “Asian of the Year”. “

A great deal more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anwar_Ibrahim#Petition_against_Najib_Razak

So, I’m not getting Zaharie’s political involvement as a reason to suspect him as the hijacker.

I'm suspicious of the US insisting that the plane went south into the Indian Ocean. That makes no sense. A pilot does everything to avoid radar and cause confusion to buy time and then flies south to a watery grave? I am convinced that it's intact and on land somewhere, at least for now. One thing that keeps nagging me is what if the US took the plane because of the high tech electronics cloaking and stealth exports on board to take them out of China's hands. We may feel that we need to keep our edge in that technology and if China is gaining ground well...

Some highly trained and skilled covert CIA ops on board? Who knows? Maybe Deigo Garcia was the destination. It just seems like there are too many suggestions by the US that the plane went south. If this scenario is true it's still possible the passengers are alive and will be released.

I think about 95% don’t believe anything he says, but about 30-40% don’t care and still thinks he’s God.
