many of us pray for the conversion of politicians, as do many prayer groups. Some of the charismatic prayer groups will pray to bind the spirits who are harassing others.

I took some training with an interfaith charismatic group who were deep into spiritual warfare. They prayed over people and worked with doctors and the clergy to deliver those oppressed or possessed.

But there is a difference between spiritual warfare, which is the privilege of all Christians, and exorcism, which is “mano a mano” fight with a demon, who could turn around and affect you or your family.

Also, unless one is mentally stable and spiritually solid, you could end up being affected by the demon.
