The trite notion of “trickle down” is in fact, a demonstrable reality.

The proper term is the “mulitplier effect”.
Liberal recently began acknowledging it, citing it as a benefit of gov’t handouts.

They continue to deny it exists in the free market.

The simple fact is the factories and the businesses, creating high wages in a community, create the need for the rest of the support business functions in the community.

You get it.

Its amazing how few people even here at FR understand how manufacturing works. A factory simply doesn’t survive on its own. It takes a whole range of support industries and supports a whole range of industries.

I’ve never been employed by any of the big automakers but I’ve done plenty of work for their suppliers. Even when I worked in printing we produced primarily automotive manuals. Then there were the party stores I stopped at every day, the pizza places I ordered pizzas from and my weekly trip to town for groceries.
