“However, the Senate Armed Services Committee eliminated all funding for the XM25 in its revision of the Pentagon’s budget in June 2013.”
I don’t know if every soldier will have one, it may be a squad weapon but even if every soldier has one, it comes mounted on a normally functioning rifle.
I’ve only been in two fire fights. They went something like this somebody fires, then everybody fires and scrambles. Then the firing slows or stops until people get oriented then then firing picks back up as both sides start orienting for an advantage.
The rifle portion would work just fine for the first stage. The grenades would be useful for the later stages.
I suspect it would be deployed as a squad weapon because I don’t think you would want to burden the entire squad with the extra weight.
As far as complexity, I think most guys would set it up the way they would use it the most frequently so use would be just hitting the range finder followed by pulling the trigger.
Better pics of the ZH-05 OICW (which is part of China's 'Integrated Combat System' for its soldiers, basically a copy of the Army's 'Land Warrior' concept):
While the Chinese military gets its equipment from Harbor Freight, I am reminded that Stalin said that “quantity has a quality all its own.”
Harbor Freight sells stuff, which is originally made in China, Mostly anyway.
Just saying.
We are the ones buying from Harbor Freight.
The thing that scares me about the Chinese is yes the worst quality stuff comes from there but some of the best is also being made there.
They don’t make junk because they can’t make better.
International companies can get quality goods manufacturing from design to mass production in a matter of weeks to months.
>>What are we not being told about Chinese hacking?<<
There is money in wars. Lot’s of it, that’s why the money men love it so much. Industry prospers and people are gainfully employed. Think of everything that it takes to fight a war, from bullets to bacon, spices to sutures, X-ray machines to X boxes and everything in between.
The Chinese are being force fed everything needed to fight a war by the money men. There’s no need to steal ideas when there’s people willing to finance your industries.
