Boyle was a pretty darn good actor — a rabid, foaming at the mouth, lunatic liberal, but a good actor nonetheless. Apparently he and Patricia Heaton had quite a few political battles on the set when the cameras weren’t rolling.
He and Jane Fonda were best of friends. But I still loved him as Frank.
