Notes: Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same tire codes at Phoenix this week . . . this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that NASCAR teams ran at this track last November . . . this left-side tire code (D-4612) was introduced at Phoenix in November, while this right-side code (D-4594) debuted at the track last March . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Phoenix.
NASCAR K&N Pro Series West: Goodyear will also provide tires for the K&N race at Phoenix this week . . . the tire codes will be D-2931 on the left-side and D-2934 on the right-side . . . Phoenix is the only track at which West teams will run these tire codes . . . Goodyear will bring 220 tires per side for this event . . . teams are allowed three sets of tires for this event — two sets for practice and one set for qualifying and the race.
