bleeech... more illegal thinking.
IF you ware going to learn a language I would suggest Cantonese as the necessary tool in your arsenal when our Chinese over lords take over.
The ILLEGALS in this country ought to at least learn English since they want to be part of the paycheck train.
Try going to Mexico.... you do just fine with English.... you won’t fair so well in France of the Sovet Union (formerly known as Russia)

Forcing the gringos to learn their language and speak it shows submission to the Hispanics which in their culture means they are superior and we are their subjects.
Not only should Spanish be banned in any official capacity but its private use should be relentlessly castigated in American society as it was up until the 1980s.
This article and the continuing push by the Left are just radical attempts to undermine and subjugate the American nation. It is sedition pushed by a vengeful and criminal populace, bent on colonizing the U.S., nothing more.

If I listen to Spanish as spoken by a professional (e.g. a radio or TV announcer) I can understand it pretty well. If I overhear a couple of the illegals I see now and then in the neighborhood, I have trouble following the conversation (there’s lots of slang and plenty of poor enunciation).

I’ve considered learning Spanish to help me find a job as a counselor, but the the fact that it’s necessary pisses me off, so I refuse on principle.

Talking to chicas caliente! Good addition to the list but wouldn't body language suffice?

Good advice. I took 8 years of Classical Latin (4 in HS, 4 in college) and 1 year of Classical Greek (college), on my parent’s advice; best educational move I ever made. Aced all the courses and enjoyed it immensely.

In the 1980s, Mandarin Chinese above used to be Japanese. What ever happened to that? They came up about 1.3 billion people short.
