Joe talks about another wave of cold coming down, and points out blocking over Greenland is a sign of solar inactivity. Also, gratefully, Northern California should get a good dosing of rain.

Here north of san francisco Its been raining fairly non stop since Thursday and is expected to continue through Sunday .
the most local creek has gone up two feet .
It doesn’t look like it will be turning into snow pack, which is unfortunate.
I havent been paying much attention to the weather over in the mountains...but we sure do need the snow pack there.

The blocking high over Greenland, which has been causing the plunging cold weather south, has caused some good storms in the British isles as the southward plunge hooks back up toward the north and across the atlantic underneath the ridge.
There are some amazing videos on the interwebs of big waves pounding onshore on the southern and western shores across the pond.
Yeah ... this has been an unusually cold winter and I hate cold weather. Last night was truly weird. I heard what I thought was rain. Nope. It wasn’t snow, it wasn’t rain, it looked like very thin noodles falling from the sky. I guess it was sleet of some sort.
My new electric heater quit this morning so I’m taking it back. See you on the backside.
