Anti-abortion groups angry over what they see as the Girl Scouts' support for abortion-rights advocates, including Democratic Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis, have launched a cookie boycott.
The groups have taken issue with tweets and Facebook postings that link to articles recognizing Davis, who shot to political stardom last year with a filibuster of abortion limits, and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, another Democrat who supports abortion rights.
"It's very clear that they are not citing any pro-life leaders with any praise, even though their official stand is they are not taking any position on abortion," said John Pisciotta, director of Pro-Life Waco and organizer of the so-called CookieCott 2014.

GLBTABCDisney is upset over people boycotting the pro-homo, pro-abort “children’s” group GSUSA.
Walt Disney’s corpse is rotating these days.
Basically the article works to paint an image of crazy, angry “anti-abortion” people who want to punish little Suzie in her Girl Scout uniform meekly going door-to-door selling thin mints.
No, the reality is that the national Girl Scout organization is leveraging cure little Suzie and using profits from her work to finance Planned Parenthood, much the same way Obama leveraged the victims at Sandy Hook to further advance his anti-gun propaganda effort.
That is the real story.
Did ABCDisney News cover it a few weeks back when half a million people protested the infanticide of abortion?
THIN MINTS RECIPE
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/4 tsp mint extract
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Cream butter until light and fluffy, then add the powdered sugar and mix until combined. Stir in the salt, vanilla and cocoa powder. Mix until the cocoa powder is integrated and the batter resembles a thick frosting. Add the flour and mix just until the flour is combined, making sure to not over mix.
3.Form dough into a ball. Knead a few times to bring together, then flatten into a disk between half an inch and one inch thick, cover in plastic wrap then place in freezer for 15 minutes.
4.Remove dough from the freezer and roll it out really thin on a floured surface, about 1/8-inch. Cut cookies using 1 1/2-inch cutter (any shape or design you like, I used the lid to my spice jar which was a perfect size).
5.Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the cookies from the oven and allow to cool completely.
6.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This is to place chocolate coated cookies on to dry.
7.To make chocolate topping: In a microwave safe bowl; add chocolate and microwave in short 15-20 second bursts; stirring between bursts. Mine took about 1 1/2 minutes. Stir in the peppermint extract.
8.Gently drop the cookies, one at a time, into the coating. Turn to coat entirely, then lift the cookie out of the chocolate with the fork and bang the fork on the side of the pan until the extra coating drips off. (I banged mine against the spoon I used to stir the chocolate, that way the cookie wouldn’t fall back into the chocolate) Place on prepared baking rack. Repeat for the rest of the cookies. Place the cookies in the refrigerator or freezer to set.
9.These will be best eaten from either the freezer or fridge, since they start to get a bit melty when outside.
Liberals love boycotts... Unless it is against their favored agenda.
“This article is written with such bias and is dripping with disdain.”
That is why I just had to post it. Don’t you just love the left? /sarc
Go down to your local Dollar General store, look for their “Clover Valley Cookie” section and buy the same cookie cheaper!
Yours is the response!
Make sure you get quality mint extract and you’ll have thin mints far better than the GS.
I’ve passed on the thin mints for decades simply because I’m opposed to their money scams.
Thin Mints - now with free abortifacient inside! Planned Parenthood Approved!
Also, special offer coupon for a Wendy Davis doll! See more on this exciting offer at the Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius website!
Sounds like if the MSM had brains, they’d have more properly stated that the group doesn’t want us to purchase Abortiongirl-scout thin mints.
“Thin Mints - now with free abortifacient inside!”
Don’t give them any ideas!
Thin Mints were my favorite but since nixing the Girl Scouts I’ve found Keebler Grasshopper cookies to be just as good. Those elves really know their cookies. Plus, as far as I know Keebler isn’t pushing a pro-abortion agenda.
I’m sure ABC feels the same way about the Divest Israel movement, right?
I currently support American Heritage Girls through my granddaughters. And thin mints aren’t on the diet right now.
Pro-aborts are never honest about what they are. They can't even call themselves that.
alas for those who shed innocent blood of unborn infants! your compensation shall be hell!
Excellent and very informative link. Thanks for the heads up. Never heard of Clover Valley brand but they certainly sound scrumptious. Unfortunately we don’t have a local Dollar General but there may be other places to find them.
Keebler makes much better cookies that the Girl Scouts and they’re a lot cheaper.
yummy ping to self
