Whoever his previous owner was treated this cat cruelly. There is nothing cute about feeding an animal until they are this obese.

He is such a good looking cat. Hope he gets a new home that will treat him like a cat

We have a chi with hypothyroidism that we have essentially starved to death for the last 2.5 years since we adopted him. He was extremely overweight when we brought him home to begin with, but undiagnosed on his health problems. He has continued to gain weight even with every precaution to limit his food intake, exercising him.

Three other dogs we have are perfectly normal weights. Sometimes it happens.

You’re right. Abuse can come in all forms — starvation, AND over-feeding. He looks like a beauty and hopefully, with proper care, will have a healthy long life.
