Would that even be legal? It seems to me that paying people below a certain age a lower wage simply because they are younger might open up an age discrimination lawsuit.

At any rate, I maintain that market forces remain the best method of determining wages. Besides, What we REALLY need is an actual economic recovery that will bring the kind of jobs that will pay good wages and put people back to work.

No exceptions. Minimum wage pay for waitresses is: a federal minimum of $2.13/hour.

When taxes and assumed tips are deducted, that leaves them with approximately $0.00/hour plus any tips they earn.

Perhaps it is time to raise the minimum wage for waitresses and waiters.
