I doubt that much breeding took place between our ancestors and Neanderthal. They were too different from us in spite of the National Geographic interpretive reconstructions that make them look much like us.

Not that I believe in evolution, nor a separate human “species” call Neanderthals, however this reeks of left-wing reverse discrimination: “Look at those Europeans, how inferior they are, just a product of mutations...” in the same vain: “The Africans are the father’s and mothers of our race, the 1st humans”.
