To a Conservative the word ‘tolerance’ means ‘casual indifference’.
To tolerate something means to ignore it, or at least not actively oppose it.

But to a Progressive the word ‘tolerance’ means ‘celebratory approval’. Casual indifference is not good enough! Even ‘friendly recognition’ is insufficient. Tolerance™ equals active promotion of a given position. To display anything less than 100% agreement is to risk being referred to as Intolerant™. To be called Intolerant™ is to risk being considered a Hater™. And to be branded a Hater™ is a fate worse than death to a Progressive.
