It's called "whistling past the graveyard". There was a comment on another forum this morning to the effect that even "Maryugo" (who is THE quintessential skeptopath on pretty much every LENR-related forum...ubiquitous and negative). And even "she" has been forced grudgingly say that it "might" be real.
The fat lady is tuning up to deliver the swan song (or perhaps in this case, the "seagull song") to the skeptics.

***At this point my hunch is that Blacklight is being rushed to show something because they are being beaten by Rossi demos. Rossi is sucking the air out of the room. But there will be a huge IP/Patent battle on the horizon, so Blacklight needs to position themselves to get a piece of that pie. Like Glenn Curtiss, who infringed on Wright brothers’ patents right & left, he got what he wanted when it was all hashed out — even when it was proved that he was flat wrong.
