47, cloudy, and windy. -2 two nights ago, flurries, and windy. Almost up to freezing yesterday, and windy.

Ground is frozen solid, and a lot of it still has over 6” of frozen snow on it, though the south facing slopes are pretty much clear, and finally dried out: they had turned to semi frozen mud.

Time to start a new pot of cat grass: the natives are restless.

I put in my GRIN order last night, we’ll see if they’re as fast as they were last summer. It took some searching, but I found seeds for:
seaberries
juneberries
hardy kiwi
roses
sunchokes
potatoes (that’s potato seeds, not seed potatoes)
aronias
quince
currants
honeylocust
black locust
dogwood cherries
honeyberries
and akebia.

Let the plant-breeding experiments begin!!!!!
