Maybe this will bring a more recent victim forward for whom the statute of limitations hasn’t expired.
“I am 28 years old and have been waiting years to get up enough courage to report a teacher for sexually abusing me for years. When I finally got up enough courage to report her, I found out that the statute of limitations was up and she will never have to pay for the things that she did to me.”
It happened 16 years earlier.

I understand your point, but being a victim as a child, with a female teacher, I can tell you the residual conditioning when watching aggressive sexual encounters in movies, and TV, brings back the pain of the incidents, even after many intervening years..
It’s so difficult to explain, and even more so for me as a man that has been a successful businessman, but so clumsy in my intimate interactions with women..
God that was painful to watch. That poor young woman. I hope this small revenge helps her.
I also hope the local police can find “probable cause” to search the erstwhile vice principal’s computer for child porn, incriminating emails, etc. If she was pulling this sh*t 14 or so years ago, she might still be doing it. And those cases might not be outside the statute of limitations.
