I doubt it, because the first question any manager would get with the press is “Why didn’t you challenge that play?”.

Football coaches don’t worry about Refs taking it out on them, and refs in football have a lot more lee-way in what they call or not

Refs and umps are very different, at least presently. Umpires have control in baseball not so much in football. Football is more like the inmates running the prison. When’s the last time you saw a ref run a coach in football?

No reason an official in the booth can’t review questionable calls throughout the game without putting the burden on the managers.
