LOS ANGELES — Nadya Suleman, who gained fame as "Octomom" after giving birth to eight babies, has been charged with welfare fraud after failing to report $30,000 in earnings while she collected public assistance, authorities said Monday.
Suleman, whose real name is Natalie Denise Suleman, was ordered to appear in court on Friday, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said in a statement. She was not immediately taken into custody.

As much as I’m not thrilled with her ethics as a single mom I’m still glad she did not choose abortion during her IVF pregnancy. She at least proved it can be done.

It can be done, but she should never have been impregnated in the first place. That quack of a doctor should’ve been held liable across the board. No spouse, no visible means of support, clearly not mentally sound, and already has too many children and he’s going to empower her to have 8 more ? Criminal.
The best way for any woman to avoid jail time is to have eight screaming little brats that nobody else wants to raise...
Octomom has 14 kids to feed, Obozo takes a trip to Africa that costs us est. 60 to 100 million bucks, how many Octomoms and her litters would that one trip have fed? Where is the outrage? How much did she steal with her fraud vs. Obozo and his serial fraud? Near as I can tell Obozo has produced nothing except hatred, division, and envy while the Octomom may have produced a future Nobel prize winner, Publisher’s clearing house winner or the pick of the litter at the next Iowa state fair. Someone better at math then me will have to figure this one out.

Goes on with single mothers across America every day. I would say without the help of a doctor but then again who delivers them? That is different however. They are being doctors. The person who gave her IVF was being merely a salesman and delivering the goods.
I know why she did this. She saw others who had multiple births like her get all kinds of free stuff. Unlike her those couples were married. With an exception of a few some of the couples it happened to, it happened by nature not IVF. Just goes to show deep down America still prefers couples to be married and have lots of kids than some single mom trying to get 15+ minutes of fame by doing it.
Actually that IVF salesman implanted 12 and 8 took.
