Rumor. Read the comments at the end of article. As a practicing Christian I very seriously doubt Rodgers is a liberal. But if he is then he has something in common with all those “he-men” sports reporters on ESPN. They are are big time Obama supporters, starting with blowhard
Olbermann, and then Colin CowsAss who has a three hour program each morning. Below is another interesting article about Rodgers.

http://www.athletesinaction.org/news/post/Aar...
This Article gives an inside look at Aaron Rodgers personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He is quoted in the Article by says ““It is my daily walking in faith and dealing with life issues and not giving into temptation that can be very challenging,” he adds.“I am always struggling in finding time to daily grow in my faith. If you are not in the Word or focusing on Christ, or into prayer, you can’t help but slip at times.”
I don’t know when the Article was written but from it I believe the answer to this question is Yes. Arron Rodgers is a Christian.

To be fair, he denied being gay and insisted he likes women. That does leave open the possibility that he is bisexual.

This is the post Clinton/Obama sentence parsing era, after all.

And that was disputed in the comments for whatever that could be worth. I saw that too.

So I wonder if we have any real proof of this because “signing a petition” is pretty iffy, any Union member could do it, in fact, almost anyone could do something like that.

So, I think the petition would have been signed BEFORE Gov. Walker declared 12-12-12 from this article, Aaron Rodgers day. Hmmn, Rodgers must wear number 8, just kidding.

http://fox6now.com/2012/12/12/gov-walker-declares-12-12-12-aaron-rodgers-day-in-wisconsin/ (Really just a little over a year ago)

““Aaron Rodgers, what I like about Aaron getting to know him the last few years, he’s not only a great quarterback, he’s just a really decent person. He’s unselfish — not only by professional athletes measurements (which sometimes is a pretty relative term) but I think he’s just a very unselfish guy in general, so fittingly, when he heard about it he encouraged people to donate to charity. We’re obviously very proud of him. I think for most of us, it’s completely scratched out of our mind that guy who used to play quarterback,” Gov. Walker said”

Also, let’s not forget, Aaron’s a young guy, many liberals are young but become Conservatives.

But you ask good questions.

Now who knows what the truth is but I have here from the first link that Rodgers lives in Suamico Wisconsin when he plays for the Packers according to this source in the year 2012 vs. the petition signature dated 2011.

http://www.chacha.com/question/where-does-aaron-rodgers-from-the-green-bay-packers-live

I erred saying “anyone could sign the petition”, maybe there is some oversight but here is the signature:

Looks like he usually uses initials for autographs.

Are the As and Rs the same?? Looks like they “could” be different.

All of these people live in Milwaukee, other signatures on the page, Kareem Jackson, Phyllis Thomas, James Ham. Hmmn.

Map of Wisconsin: http://usgwarchives.org/maps/wisconsin/statemap/1944_wisc.jpg

Milwaukee to Green Bay looks like a commute plus add in some heavy winter weather, would Rodgers really want to commute in that from Milwaukee to Green Bay?

Suamico definitely in the Green Bay area.

He's screwed. Admitting to being hetero means he must be a "homophobe".

According to DUmmies, YES!

DUmmie FUnnies 12-30-13 ("The Decrying Game": Remember, remember, to date a transgender) (December 30, 2013 | DUmmies and Charles Henrickson)

Is it ignorant/ transphobic for a straight man to not want to date transgender women?

a narrative of desire around trans bodies does not exist & in that absence one of degradation and shame is offered in its place. So automatically you have sexualities and accompanying desires shaped in a context of transphobia, which both excludes and pathologizes trans bodies as abhorrent.

A lot of male sexuality is also constructed around employing hierarchies of womanhood as trophies, to prove their own worth and engage in a process of gendering themselves through access to womens’ bodies. Within that framework, some hold more currency and others (transwomen) can actually subvert heteronormative male sexualities. The opinions and shared norms of sexuality among peers, performed on womens’ bodies, plays a huge part in constructing their sexuality as well. You can imagine where transwomen fall on this scale.

There’s also the fact that most men dont even have enough literacy of our bodies and our lives to even know who we are and if they are attracted to us. And dont attempt to do so because of cisnormativity.

With that being said, we live in the world we live in. If a man chooses not to date a transwoman, whatever the reason, that is his choice (though one probably informed by cisnormativity.) I am however concerned with if, in not dating transwomen, he also reinforces cissexism and transphobia in his words and actions.

I read Rodgers’ wikipedia bio, he’s a committed Christian, he plays guitar, he has a sideline career in music, tried to produce an album or something. It makes me wonder if it might be “Christian” music.

So, now, I’m really thinking this story is bogus. Maybe Rodgers showed this guy some Christian charity and whoever this fellow is is putting on a hissy fit.
