I know what you mean. I had to shed some tears when Santa said he would visit my family. Being away especially during Christmas was the absolute worst of it.
Fortunately, I didn’t have kids then. But unexpected Christmas at sea, when Return To Port is supposed to be November 30 and ends up being Jan 15th, really sucked.
