Fleeing workers tell of brutal killings as South Sudan edges towards civil war
The Guardian ^ | 21 Dec 2013 | Daniel Howden

A long line of evacuees stretched from the departures area of Juba airport into the baking sun of South Sudan. Meanwhile, the dented doors of the arrivals building slowly disgorged dazed and exhausted oil workers in filthy overalls. They had fled to the capital from the further reaches of the world's youngest country, on the first leg of journeys home, bringing with them news of factional fighting that has taken the country to the brink of civil war.

Many of them such as Hassan Ali, a Pakistani engineer, with dark circles around his eyes, had just escaped from Unity state with terrifying accounts of killing in the vast oil fields that feed oil production in both Sudans.

For the last three days terrified oil workers have listened to the carnage beyond the perimeter.

"It was Sudanese killing Sudanese," he said. "They were killing each other with stones and knives," said one of his colleagues before making a cut-throat gesture. A third man, who gave his name as Dabeer, spoke of one attacker whom he had seen chopping the hands from victims. The men said that at least 16 people had died, many of them ordinary South Sudanese out of uniform. On their way to the airstrip in Unity town they had seen scores of scorched huts.

The President of Sudan is a Roman Catholic. There are also Anglicans and other Christians in the country.

According to Wikipedia, the Dinka tribe, which is said to have committed the atrocities, still sticks to the old African beliefs:

The Dinka have a pantheon of deities. The supreme, creator god is Nhialic he is the god of the sky and rain, and the ruler of all the spirits.[1] He is believed to be present in all of creation, and to control the destiny of every human, plant and animal on Earth. Nhialic is also known as Jaak, Juong or Dyokin by other Nilotic groups such as the Nuer and Shilluk).

Dengdit or Deng, is the sky god of rain and fertility, empowered by Nhialic.[2] Deng’s mother is Abuk, the patron goddess of gardening and all women, represented by a snake.[3] Garang, another deity, is believed or assumed by some Dinka to be a god suppressed by Deng whose spirits can cause most Dinka women, and some men, to scream. The term “Jok” refers to a group of ancestral spirits.

Dinka people respect African puff adders because of divinities believed to be found in the snakes. The most commonly respected snakes are Atemyath, Biar keroor, and Maluang. These snakes are given local made molten cheese to appease them, after which they are released into the forest. Killing these snakes is believed to be a bad omen for the community or the individual, with the assumption that spirits may strike the killer.

Of all the wars America has been in, none of them will reach the scale of brutality our soldiers would face if we foolishly send them into central Africa.

Yes of course I have and I don’t think it speaks to ourselves as man, I think it speaks to animals masquerading as men to do the work of the dark one. The creatures that commit these acts whether in our American cities, Africa or the Mid East have left the brotherhood of man to join with the animals.

Cities have always been violent.

My grandmother was telling me about living in Detroit for a few months back in the 20s. She said their school playground was a cage on a concrete slab. She also points out that cities in the bible are generally violent crime infested places.

And the welfare state is helping them on their way to animalhood.
